I am a Principal at GRATIS Technical Institute, a Ghana TVET Service institution and the Founder and Lead Developer of EduTrackSMS, a cloud-based online and offline desktop school management platform serving seven schools, over 5,000 students, and 600+ teachers across Ghana.
I hold MTech in Data Science (GPA: 3.81). I combine educational leadership with expertise in AI, data science, and software development to build intelligent education systems that generate high-quality data for learning analytics and evidence-based decision-making.
My research interests focus on Artificial Intelligence, Learning Analytics, and Educational Data Science, and I am actively seeking PhD opportunities and international research collaborations, particularly in Europe, to advance human-centered AI solutions for education.

My Educational & Experiences
Postgraduate study in data science, machine learning, AI systems, and data-driven decision-making at Tamale Technical University, Tamale. Developed the research foundation underpinning the EduTrackSMS AI roadmap.
Completed professional software engineering training at OpenLabs (formerly NIIT), Tamale. Gained hands-on skills in full-stack development, which directly led to the creation of EduTrackSMS.
Completed cyber security training at OpenLabs (formerly NIIT), Tamale — informing the role-based access control and Firebase Authentication architecture in EduTrackSMS.
Studied financial reporting, psychology of human development, school management in Ghana, research methods, management information systems, measurement and evaluation, human resource management, and business communication at the University of Education, Winneba. Graduated with Second Class Upper Honours.
Providing strategic leadership and administrative oversight for GRATIS Technical Institute, Tamale. Supervising academic, technical, and administrative staff; coordinating TVET programmes; overseeing budgets and operations; and driving digital transformation through EduTrackSMS, which now digitises 7 schools across Ghana.
Provided academic and administrative leadership for Ideal College Senior High School. Supervised teachers, coordinated curriculum delivery and examinations, monitored student academic progress, managed school operations, and ensured compliance with Ghana Education Service policies.
Delivered Mathematics lessons aligned with GES curriculum and WAEC standards at Owerriman SHS, Domeabra, Ashanti. Provided extra classes and one-on-one WASSCE preparation support, resulting in measurably improved student pass rates in Mathematics.

A cloud-based educational management system built entirely from scratch — currently digitising schools across Ghana. EduTrackSMS transforms how school leaders, teachers, and parents access, act on, and benefit from educational data.

EduTrackSMS is not just a product — it's a living research instrument that generates real educational data, enabling the kind of AI research that can transform learning at scale.
EduTrackSMS is uniquely positioned as both a deployed product and a living research dataset. Every attendance record, grade entry, fee transaction, and teacher interaction generates structured data about how Ghanaian students learn, struggle, and succeed.
This dataset — ethically collected across 7 schools — is the foundation for a PhD research agenda: developing AI models that can predict student outcomes, flag early risks, and recommend personalised interventions based on real African school data rather than Western proxies.
Most PhD applicants in AI in Education bring theoretical proposals. This research brings 7 schools, 5,000 students, a deployed platform, real educational data, an MTech in Data Science, and over 5 years of school leadership.
The research will be grounded in the messy, meaningful reality of education in the Global South — producing insights with global relevance that no simulation or synthetic dataset could replicate.
